The $35 tablet nicknamed Aakash, will be available at retail stores at a maximum retail price of Rs 2999 ($60), shortly after its launch on Wednesday, said its maker Datawind.The 7 inch display comes with resistive touchscreen and a resolution of 800×480 pixels. Weighing just 350 grams, this tablet is easy to carry around. The processor of 366Mhz may not provide much horsepower and is duly supplemented by 256MB RAM and a 2GB Flash memory. Tablet comes with 12 month replacement guarantee. The android version used in Aakash is Froyo (v2.2). In terms of connectivity, Aakash boasts WiFi, Microphone, Stereophone, USB Port, GPRS.

Aakash tablet come out to retail at Rs. 2,999 ($60) commercially from November 1st week.
